Who’s Eligible for U.S. Paralympic Events:
Paralympic meets are open to swimmers with a physical, visual impairment, or intellectual impairments (Class S14).
To be eligible for the S-14 Class athletes must meet confirm they met the criteria for our Virtus (II1) Group for Intellectual Disability. This includes athletes with Down Syndrome (II2) since they also have Intellectual Disability.
The S-14 Class includes some athletes with Autism if they also have Intellectual Disability.
Athletes with higher functioning Autism (II3) can compete at Virtus events but are not eligible for Paralympics.

- For International events apply at least 3 months before event registration deadline
