APR 2026 Virtus Para-Equestrian Video Competition: Round 2 of 3

April 1 - April 30

ABOUT ATHLETES WITHOUT LIMITS EQUESTRIAN

As the US Member of Virtus  Athletes Without Limits organizes US Equestrian athletes interested in participating in Virtus International Dressage competitions for athletes with intellectual impairment. We encourage new athletes interested in competing who have proficiency in dressage  to contact us to develop a plan for transitioning into Virtus dressage competition. VIRTUS ELIGIBILITY GROUPS

US Riders with confirmed Virtus International Eligibility any of the three Virtus groups below (posted on our Eligibility List) can enter videos:
• II-1 Intellectual Disability (IQ 75 or lower) includes Autism with ID
• II-2 Intellectual Disability w/significant Additional Impairment (includes Tri21 Down Syndrome)
• II-3 ‘High Functioning’ Autism (IQ 76 or higher and/or does not meet II1 Criteria)

New US Athletes should complete Virtus International Eligibility Application.

2026 VIDEO ENTRY DATES & GUIDELINES (3 Rounds):

The Virtus Para Dressage Video Competition Series brings together the worlds best riders with an intellectual impairment, to compete in a World Championship from their home environment making this an exciting and efficient way to enter top level competition.

Athletes can any or all of the competition windows below:

  1. Round 1: Upload Videos to AWL by FEB 23, 2026 (so we can review by the FEB 28 Virtus deadline.)
    Videos must be recorded between Feb 1 – Feb 23, 2026.
  2. Round 2: Upload Videos to AWL by APR 25, 2026 (so we can review by the APR 30 Virtus deadline.)
    Videos must be recorded between April 1 – Apr 25, 2026.
  3. Round 3: Upload Videos to AWL by OCT 26, 2026 (so we can review by the OCT 31 Virtus deadline.)
    Videos must be recorded between Oct 1 – Oct 26, 2026.

ENTRY GUIDELINES PDF: 
To compete in the virtual event, athletes should be able to complete one or more of the accepted FEI Para Dressage tests listed in the entry pack at their home facility and have a parent/trainer/other record a video by following the guidelines provided. (Videos of tests judged in another competition may not be entered.)

STEPS TO ENTER (For USA Athletes)

As the USA Member of Virtus, Athletes Without Limits manages the entry process for US riders. Multiple videos may be submitted for review by our Athletes Without Limits US National Equestrian Director to help determine the best entries to submit to Virtus.

  1. Step 1: Download Event PDF provided by Organizers Above
  2. Step 2: Record your test(s) at your home facility following the competition rules in the PDF Entry Pack.
  3. Step 3: Submit Videos and Entry Fee using the Online Entry Form below:

RESULTS & RANKINGS:
Virtus publishes International results to their website virtus.sport/results-rankings-records and more recently to the The Virtus Equestrian Facebook Page.
