2025 National Track & Field Team Announced for Virtus World Athletics Championships in Australia
Congratulations to the athletes who have qualified for and been selected to compete as part of the Athletes Without Limits US National Team competing at the 2025 Virtus World Athletics Championships in Australia!
The event is sanctioned by World Para Track & Field and draws the top Track & Field with intellectual impairments from around the world with 30-40 countries expected to compete in Brisbane October 8th through the 15th, 2025. There will also be an International Inclusive Sport summit for team leaders on how to increase participation in Virtus sport worldwide from October 6-8th.
All four US Team members have qualified for the first time to compete at Virtus International Events which creates an opportunity to build a strong team for next years America’s regional event in Lima, Peru.

Kayla Spears (Michigan) Discus, Shotput
National Team Staff will include Julie Holman as Head of the US Team, Coach Jim Bluemond with support from Latonya Bulger and Athletes Without Limits and Virtus Board Members Barry Holman and Ian Conyers.
The trip is the 21st National Team trip to a major International event organized by Athletes Without Limits. Congratulations to all the athletes for this incredible accomplishment and opportunity to compete against the top athletes with Intellectual Impairments from around the World in the beautiful riverfront city of Brisbane, Australia!
