AWL Sport Programs

The following are Oregon-based Athletes Without Limits and/or AWL Partnership opportunities for athletes with intellectual impairment (including Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome and Autism+).   1. Athletics/Track & Field/Fitness Training) (Portland, OR):
    Athletes Without Limits has partnered with Specialty Athletic Training (Personal trainers dedicated to working exclusively with people with special needs) to develop a Portland-based AWL Track & Field team.   2. Equestrian (Bend, OR):
    Athletes Without Limits is currently developing a Bend-based National Equestrian Program. Interested athletes should review the athlete eligibility criteria and application or contact us for more information.
  3. Skiing (Bend, OR):
    Mount Bachelor MBSEF Stevenson Youth Nordic Ski Program is a mainstream learn-to-ski program that includes Athletes Without Limits skiers and instructors. Interested athletes should review the athlete eligibility criteria and application and contact us for more information.
  4. Table Tennis (Portland, OR):
    Athletes Without Limits has hosted training camps at Paddle Palace and can put interested athletes in touch with ITTF Table Tennis coaches familiar with INAS, Paralympic Class 11 and other opportunities for players with intellectual impairment.
