Results from the 2016 Inas World Tennis Championships

Athletes Without Limits congratulates all the players who recently competed in the 2016 Inas World Championships for high-performance players with intellectual impairment. Top athletes from Australia, Belguim, Czech Republic, Italy and the United States came to Sea Colony Tennis Resort in Bethany Beach, Delaware for the 5-day tournament, which took place June 10-19th.  A special thank you to the coaches, USTA officials, volunteers, parents, our hosts at Sea Colony Tennis Center and event sponsors who helped make the first US hosted Inas event such a success. US Swimmers Win 26 Medals at the 2014 Guayaquil Para-Swimming Open

This November Athletes Without Limits USA National Swim Team traveled to the Guayaquil Para-Swimming Open in Ecuador. US  swimmers won a total of 26 medals and broke 4 American records at the event. Congrats to the team and special thanks to Coaches Pat Thoreson and Barry Holman for heading up a successful trip.

US Women Dominate the 2014 Virtus World Tennis Championships in France

The individual and doubles wins mark only the second time US athletes hold Virtus (formerly called Inas) World Titles since cyclist Syd Lea won at the 2011 Global Games. Building on their Australian experience and a week-long training camp hosted by Wintergreen Resort, four US players traveled to Mont-de-Marsan, France for the 2014 Virtus (formerly called Inas) World Tennis Championships. Team members include Steven Cuomo (NY), Syd Lea (MD), and Marcus Saunders (NY). Syd Lea Wins CrashB Indoor Rowing Event

Athletes Without Limits Syd Lea competed as part of the Capital Adaptive Rowing squad at the 2nd annual Adaptive Challenge at the C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints in Boston February 21, 2011. The club team, which is comprised of athletes with physical or intellectual disability, brought home two hammer trophies:  Syd Lea won 1st place in the Men's open intellectually disabled class and Claudia Perry won 1st place in the Women's LTA-V. Joe Tezak missed 3rd place in the Men's AS by 1.4 seconds (but maybe even better, he won a Concept2 erg in the adaptive athlete raffle!).  ...
