Brisbane to host 2019 INAS Global Games

INAS – the International Federation for sport for para-athletes with an intellectual disability – has selected Brisbane, Australia to host the 5th INAS Global Games in 2019.
The Games – a week long championship featuring nine sports – will attract more than 1000 of the world’s elite athletes with an intellectual disability. The opening ceremony will take place on 19th October 2019.

US Team Prepares for 2015 Inas Global Games Ecuador
Top US athletes are preparing to take on the world at the 2015 Inas Global Games in Quito, Ecuador September 20 - 27. The US will be led by reigning tennis world champions Brittany Taglareni (singles), her doubles partner Katherine Richards and 2011 Global Games defending cycling champion Syd Lea.
The US will field teams in track and field, swimming, tennis, cycling and basketball. Over 1000 athletes from 40 countries are expected to compete in the pre-eminant elite sports competition for athletes with intellectual disability.

US Swimmers Win 26 Medals at the 2014 Guayaquil Para-Swimming Open
This November Athletes Without Limits USA National Swim Team traveled to the Guayaquil Para-Swimming Open in Ecuador. US swimmers won a total of 26 medals and broke 4 American records at the event. Congrats to the team and special thanks to Coaches Pat Thoreson and Barry Holman for heading up a successful trip.
