New in 2019 – Virtus (formerly called Inas) Indoor Rowing Video Competition
Athletes Without Limits is doing our part to increase rowing opportunities for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities by hosting the first INAS Indoor Rowing Cyber Championships – a new initiative from the INAS Rowing Committee that aims to make the sport more accessible to a greater number of rowers.
Venable Foundation Donates Racing Shell to Athletes Without Limits Rowing Program
Athletes Without Limits celebrated it's newest racing shell The Venable at a special event featuring Olympic Medalist Esther Lofgren and Paralympic Bronze Medalist Sgt. Rob Jones. Generously donated by the Venable Foundation under the leadership of Doug Baldridge, The Win-Tech four-person sweep racing shell has adaptive features that allow the athletes with disabilities on our Washington DC-based Integrated Rowing Team to race and train together with their non-disabled peers.

Jones and Masters Win Paralympic Bronze in Rowing Mixed Double
Athletes Without Limits is proud to have members of our DC-based integrated rowing team on the podium in London.
The mixed double sculls crew of Rob Jones (Lovettsville, Va.) and Oksana Masters (Buffalo, N.Y.) won bronze in the Trunk & Arms category Sunday at the 2012 Paralympic Games in Eton Dorney, outside London. Theirs is the first U.S. Paralympic medal in this event since rowing became part of the Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2008.

Strong Season for AWL’s DC Rowing Team
Coach Patrick Johnson, brings 20 years of teaching experience at the high school and collegiate level and is the founding director for two adaptive programs including the integrated Athletes Without Limits/US Paralympic Military Program (USPMP) Rowing Team in Washington DC. Johnson and his team of coaches and volunteers are experienced in motivating athletes with intellectual disability to make rowing both fun and challenging. We invite coaches to join us at the camp to share and strengthen the growing movement for the "ID" classification in US and international rowing.
