Marcus was recently a member of the Athletes Without Limits US Team that earned Bronze at the 2014 Inas World Cross Country Championships in Poland. A New York native, Saunders began running and regularly trains and competes with the Rolling Thunder Team. Marcus was one of the first US athletes to compete in a US Paralympic Track & Field events following the 2010 re-inclusion of athletes with intellectual disability US Paralympic Track & Field Nationals.
