SUMMARY:AUG 2026 U.S. Para Swim Calendar: Para Pan Pacific Championships (Location TBA)
DESCRIPTION:Note that Athletes Without Limits provides Class S14 (Intellectual Impairment) National reviews for U.S. Paralympics for this event\, but is not otherwise involved in organizing U.S. Paralympics meets or team trips like we do for Virtus events. Interested athletes should complete eligibility with Athletes Without Limits\, but otherwise should register directly for Paralympic meets\, and travel with their home team/coach or individually to participate.\nTHE INFORMATION BELOW IS FOR SWIMMERS WITH\nINTELLECTUAL IMPAIRMENT (S14 Class) \nSanctioned by U.S. Paralympic Swimming \nThis is an International meet on US soil so full Virtus II1 International Level Eligibility is needed to compete in the S14 Class for Intellectual Disability. \nEvent Date: August 28-30\, 2026 \nEvent Location in US: To Be Announced \nEvent Webpage: https://www.usparaswimming.org/competitions \nRegistration: Swimmers should register directly with the event organizers (individually or as part of their home team) using the link on the event’s website. \nEligibility Criteria: Paralympic meets are open to swimmers with a physical impairment\, visual impairment\, or Class S14 intellectual impairment (Note that Class S14 is only open to athletes with Virtus II1 and II2 eligibility — Virtus II3 are not eligible for Paralympics). \nTime Standards: There may be time standards for some events\, check the meet packet PDF for details. (Typically events with “Open” in their name do not have qualification time standards.) \nClassification Deadline for New S14 Swimmers: Note that National classification ‘appointments’ offered at US Paralympics events are only for athletes with physical or visual impairment. Athletes with Intellectual Impairment should complete AWL-Virtus Eligibility Application and submit (along with photoID\, IQ and Adaptive Behavior assessments) to Athletes Without Limits at least 3 month prior to events like this that require full International level eligibility.\nAWL will inform U.S. Paralympics of new swimmers who have completed National S14 eligibility for Classification and when they’ve been confirmed Internationally. \nCriteria for Intellectual Impairment S14 Class: Athletes with Intellectual Impairment (Autism\, Down Syndrome & Intellectual Disability with IQ of 75 or lower) should complete Athletes Without Limits Virtus Eligiblity application in lieu of a classification appointment. Swimmers who meet the Virtus II1/Paralympic S14 eligibility criteria below are eligible to compete in Paralympic-sanctioned swim meets: \n\nIQ Assessment showing IQ of 75 or lower\,\nAdaptive Behavior Assessment showing significant limitation in at least one domain area\, and\nOnset before age 22\n\nSpecial note to swimmers with Autism: Athletes with Autism must have an IQ of 75 or lower to be eligible for Paralympic S14 swimming. This is different from AWL trips to Virtus-sanctioned meets\, which offer an additional competition group for those with Autism and an IQ of 76 or higher (called Virtus II3) – so we encourage you to apply for eligibility for Virtus events! \nSpecial note to swimmers with Down Syndrome: The Paralympic S14 class is only open to athletes who meet the Virtus II1 Criteria for Intellectual Disability\, which is based on IQ and Adaptive Scores. This is different from AWL trips to Virtus-sanctioned meets which offer a separate competition group specifically for athletes with Down Syndrome (called Virtus II2). Therefore swimmers with Down Syndrome should apply for dual eligibility in the Virtus II1 group (based on IQ and Adaptive Scores) in order to be classified for Paralympics swimming and the Virtus II2 group (based on Cytogenetic Report showing Down Syndrome) for Virtus events. \n  \n

SUMMARY:TBA 2026 2nd Minnesota Adaptive Open Golf Championships
DESCRIPTION:Note that Athletes Without Limits only confirms Virtus eligibility for athletes with intellectual impairment to get their WR4GD Pass from EDGA — and is not the host of this event. Please review the event website and reach out to the Minnesota Golf Association for event questions other than Virtus eligibility as there may be additional qualifying requirements. \nMinnesota Golf Association (MGA) Launches Minnesota Adaptive Open: \nRead the Feb 2025 Announcement \nVisit the MGA competition calendar for event details and to register. \n\nDate & Location:\nLast year the Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) launched it’s inaugural Minnesota Adaptive Open at the Braemar Golf Course in Edina. There will likely be a 2026 event  @ September — check the MGA website for dates and details. \nCheck the . \n\nRegister on MGA Website:\nSee the MGA web calendar for registration information and deadlines:\nRegister on USGA  Website\nEligibility for New Golfers with Intellectual Impairment:\n \nThis event requires a WR4GD pass though EDGA.\nEDGA requires players with an Intellectual Impairment to first confirm their Virtus International Level Eligibility. US Players can apply for Virtus eligibility through Athletes Without Limits (USA Virtus Member) from our Virtus Eligibility Application Page. \n\n\nWhile Virtus events and some EDGA International Golf events are open to athletes in all three Virtus Eligibility Groups\, this event\, like the U.S. Adaptive Open and USDGA Ping Championships have chosen to follow Paralympic Classification. This means only athletes who meet the following three criteria are eligible: \n\n\nIQ of 75 or lower on WISC\, WAIS or Stanford Binet (given within last 5 years*)\nAt least one domain score of 70 or lower on an ABAS or Vineland Adaptive Behavior (given within the last 5 years*.)\nAge of onset before 22.\n\n*Note that athletes with Down Syndrome who also provide their cytogenetic report showing Trisomy21 or Translocation can provide IQ and Adaptive reports from more than 5 years ago. \nNot all athletes with Autism will meet the IQ and/or Adaptive criteria above – we encourage you to apply for your Virtus II3 Open Autism eligibility as there are some other events open to all Virtus groups. \n\nTo lean more and apply for eligibility visit our Golf page for “Three Steps to Become Eligible to Compete as a WR4GD World Ranked Player with Intellectual Impairment”\n\n*New players with intellectual impairment should apply to Athletes Without Limits as early as possible (at least 12 weeks prior to registration closing) to confirm International level Virtus eligibility in time to get your WR4GD Pass for an event. This is due to the time it takes for us to hear back confirmation from the Virtus International Eligibility Committee. \n\n\n\nSEE MORE EVENTS:\n(SERACH ALL BY SPORT GOLF)\n\n\n\n\n\n
