Our competition list focuses on international INAS-FID competitions for athletes with intellectual disability. Some events may have qualification times/standards. New events and event details will be posted as information becomes available. We have kept up past events so athletes and coaches can learn more about the the types of competitions now open to US athletes.
In addition, Athletes Without Limits has been reaching out to US event promoters to include classes for athletes with intellectual disabilities in their mainstream (non-disabled) competitions; these events are also listed.
We also encourage athletes to join their national sport federations and compete against non-disabled athletes in open competition. For example, cyclists could compete in USA Cycling events. Swimmers could participate in USA Swimming or Masters Swimming (20+) events, etc.
