Our mission is to identify, develop and support athletes with intellectual disability and athletic dreams of participating in high-level competition—including non-disabled mainstream sporting events—in the US and abroad.
As the sole US member organization of the International Federation for Sport for People with an Intellectual Disability (INAS-FID), Athletes Without Limits works with US athletes who would like to participate in INAS-FID, International Paralympic (IPC) and US Paralympic competitions, including administering the eligibility application process. Athletes Without Limits also oversees the selection process, registration and travel arrangements for US teams traveling to INAS-FID competitions.
Here in the US, Athletes Without Limits helps athletes identify coaching and training opportunities at the national, regional and local level with a focus on inclusion of athletes with intellectual disability into mainstream sporting competitions, coaching and training.
