Friends and family members of Michael Murray, the highest ranked track athlete with intellectual disability in the US, spearheaded a local fundraising campaign to help offset Michael's out-of-pocket expenses for the 2011 Global Games in Italy. The GTAC Disability Swim meet provided an opportunity for three new Athletes Without Limits swimmers to compete together with physically disabled Paralympic swimmers.
Swimmers Leslie Cichocki and Sarah Gilbert and Todd Eisinger traveled to Cincinnati to compete in the 8th Annual Greater Toledo Aquatic Club (GTAC) Disability Open Swimming Championships, sanctioned by both USA Swimming and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
