USA Track & Field Junior Disability Championships

Disability Classifications & Eligibility: All 18 and under are welcome to attend (including T20 & F20 Athletes with intellectually disability).

Registration & Information: All sign-up will be done electronically using this registration link. Registration is free for USA Track & Field members (Sign up for the $20 annual membership online or you can sign up on site at the event.)

Age Groups: Male/Female 7-12, Male/Female 13-15, Male/Female 15-18

USATF Membership: Only USA Track & Field members are allowed to compete.  This is also a JUNIOR competition, so no entrants can be over the age of 18.

Events Contested: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, shot put (boys: 8lb, girls: 6lb), discus (boys and girls: 1kg), long jump, javelin (boys: 400g, girls: 300g).  A throwing chair will be provided for the throwing competitions.

Time Standards: All athletes must have met the minimum time standard in the running and wheelchair TRACK events in the last two years.  Written documentation must be provided.  The FIELD events will have no minimum distance standards. The standards for both running and wheelchair events are below.  Appeals can be made if the athlete does not meet the time standard with written documentation.

  • 100 Meters: 25 seconds
  • 200 Meters: 61 seconds
  • 400 Meters: 2:40
  • 800 Meters: 4:30
  • 1500 Meters: 10:00

Awards:  Medals to top 8 athletes

Post-Meet Concert: In conjunction with the USATF Junior Olympics National Championships, participants at this meet will be given tickets to the outdoor concert at Morgan State University for all participants in the two national championship meets

Lodging: Ten rooms have been booked at the Inns at Colonnade, less than 10 minutes from the meet site (4 West University Parkway, Baltimore Maryland 21218).  These rooms will be available for free on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Injury Release Waiver and Permission to Photograph/Videotape Forms: Will be distributed after electronic sign-up.  Must be handed in hard copy to the registration table at the meet.
