2010 IPC Swimming World Championships

Date: August 15-21, 2010

Location: Eindhoven, the Netherlands

Pool: The Pieter van den Hoogenband swimming stadium has a 50 meter pool (10 lanes), a 25 meter pool (8 lanes) with a diving well and a 50 meter training pool (4 lanes) with the Vision Training System, which allows swimmers and coaches, through the use of 13 cameras, to extensively analyze their technique.

Hotel: NH Koningshof is surrounded by forest and located approximately 15 km from the swimming venue.

Events: In 16 different distances and events, swum in 14 classes, athletes from all over the world will compete for titles and medals. The following three events are open to athletes with intellectual disability (class s14):

  1. 200m Freestyle
  2. 100m Backstroke
  3. 100m Breaststroke

Qualification Times:
There are no qualification times for athletes with intellectual disability.
